Paul Bergner has studied and practiced natural medicine since 1973, with formal studies in nature cure, medical herbalism, clinical nutrition, traditional Chinese medicine, Ayurvedic medicine, flower essences, yoga therapy, and bodywork, including undergraduate studies in pre-medicine, psychology, and journalism, and graduate medical studies (1200 classroom hours) at National College of Naturopathic Medicine. He teaches pathophysiology, clinical herbalism, and clinical nutrition and directs the student clinic at the Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies in Boulder, Colorado, where he also has a private practice. Bergner was the founding director of AMR'TA (the Alchemical Medicine Research and Teaching Association) which produced the IBIS database of alternative medical treatments for 287 medical conditions. He is a professional member of the National Association of Science Writers. Bergner founded Medical Herbalism in 1989. He lectures frequently at national and international herbal and naturopathic medical conferences.
Sharol Tilgner,
N.D., is a naturopathic physician and
former pharmacy director at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine
in Portland, Oregon. She is author of Edible and Medicinal Herbs (video:
volumes I and II). Frequent continuing-education lecturer at naturopathic
medical conventions and national herbal events.She currently owns Wise
Woman Herbals, a high-quality tincture company located in Creswell,
Oregon.

Steven Dentali, Ph.D.,
owner of Dentali Associates, a Natural Products Consulting Service in Troutdale,
OR, trained as an herbalist before receiving his doctorate in Pharmaceutical
Sciences from the University of Arizona in 1991. He is an advisory board
member of the American
Botanical Council. and works as an independent

Jonathan Treasure, M.A.., A.H.G., M.N.I.M.H.
holds a degree
in medical sciences from Cambridge, U.K., and is a member of the British
National Institute of Medical Herbalists, after completing a four-year
course of study in medical herbalism. He now practices in Eugene, Oregon.
He writes for the European Journal of Herbal Medicine and is a contributing
author to the American Herbal Pharmacoepia; he also publishes The
Herbal Bookworm on the web, which provides reviews
of herbal texts and software. He is a visiting lecturer at The National
College of Phytotherapy, (New Mexico) and The Southwest School of Botanical
Medicine (Arizona).
